MARCH 27, 2020

Greetings East Lake Road Alliance Church,

I read a quote that grabbed my attention, “Introverts, check on your extroverted friends…they don’t know how to cope with what is going on.”  There is some truth to that saying, however I believe it is important that all people whether, introvert or extrovert, are checked on and know that they are being prayed for.

Isolation is difficult to endure.  We are made for relationships.  The most important relationship is with Jesus Christ, and then with others.  I hope that you are continuing in your devotion with Jesus through reading the Word and through Prayer.

With technology, we have the ability to continue to connect with others. I want to encourage you at a minimum (if possible) to make contact with someone each day through phone call, email, text message, or some other method.

As I pray in our sanctuary, I have you in mind.  I feel great loneliness in knowing that we aren’t meeting the upcoming week.  I love the church.  I love to serve those who make up the church.  I love when we meet corporately which is a Biblical command.

When the guidelines are lifted, when the services at ELRAC resume, I believe it is going to be similar to a big reunion.  I want to encourage you to remain connected through the church’s website and Facebook.

The Sunday service is recorded and posted 10 am Sunday.  This week, I will be preaching from 1 Corinthians 9: 1–23.  Have your Bible with you as you listen to the sermon.  Wednesday’s teaching, “Seven Sayings of the Cross”, will also be recorded and posted at 6:30 on Wednesday.  All of this information can be found on the church website.

Please let us know if you need any help, if you are struggling physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially feel free to call either Pastor Dave, one of the elders, or myself.  I pray that you would experience the amazing love and provision of the Father this day.

In Him,

Pastor Matt
