Carol began attending ELRAC in January 2015 and came on staff  in October of the same year. She was born and grew up in Lancaster County, PA.  Her life was transformed by the power of Jesus Christ in her late teens while attending Rawlinsville Camp and she felt God calling her into ministry.  Carol subsequently studied at Lancaster Bible College majoring in Bible/Missions with a minor in Christian Education. Following her training Carol left for Guatemala, Central America where she served with Global Harvesters Foundation; she collaborated with local churches, participated in a church plant and taught with Child Evangelism Fellowship in the public schools.
Carol married Rev. Mardoqueo Marquez and joined him in ministry in Southern California among the Mexican Americans.  In addition to the ministry and home obligations, Carol worked for the local school district as an Administrative Assistant in Child Welfare and Attendance.
In later years Carol married Rev. Billy Sunda.  Through the years she was involved in ministry with women and children.  After Pastor Billy’s retirement they together collaborated with leadership in ministry in Titusville, PA for 3 years.  Carol maintained secular employment throughout the years as an Administrative Assistant, as an Accountant, and in IT.
Now widowed twice, Carol boasts of a large family – 11 children, 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  She likes to travel and most often is going to visit some of her family who live scattered all over the US.
Carol is passionate about serving the Lord.  Her goal is to communicate to people how much Jesus loves them by allowing Jesus to love them thru her.  Her life’s verse says it all . . . “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” – Rom. 1:16
